Welcome to WedWise (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by WedWise FZ-LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit https://mywedwise.com and use our services.

1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We collect the personal information you provide when you register for an account. This is limited to:
- Full name
- Country
- Phone Number
- Company name (if applicable)
We do not collect the information you enter into the platform once you are logged in — including content you create, upload, or type into the WedWise AI Assistant — without your explicit consent.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain technical data, including:
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser type and version
- Device information and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, and usage patterns
- Referring URLs and search terms
This data is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies, as described in Section 8 below.
2. Google Sign-In and Authentication
If you choose to register or log in using Google Sign-In, we may receive certain information from your Google account, including your full name, email address, profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier.
We use this information strictly for the purpose of creating and managing your account, authenticating your identity, and improving your experience within WedWise. We do not use data obtained through Google Sign-In to serve advertisements or for any advertising-related purpose.
We only request basic profile scopes (such as openid, email, and profile). We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or any other Google services without your explicit additional consent. Information obtained via Google Sign-In is stored securely and is not retained beyond the period necessary to provide authentication and account management services.
WedWise’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
You can revoke WedWise’s access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
3. The WedWise AI Assistant
WedWise offers an AI-powered assistant to help you with wedding planning. When you interact with it, the messages and details you enter are processed to generate helpful responses.
- Who sees what you enter
- No WedWise staff member reads your conversations. Your inputs are processed automatically by our AI provider solely to generate responses — not reviewed by humans, not used to train their models, and not sold or shared for advertising.
- Who operates the assistant
- The assistant is built and operated on our behalf by Plexe AI, which is SOC 2 Type 2 audited. Plexe AI acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement and engages Amazon Web Services, OpenAI, and Anthropic as sub-processors to host the assistant and generate its responses.
- Security and retention
- Information you enter is encrypted in transit. The AI model providers do not retain your inputs after generating a response and do not use them to train their models.
4. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
We use the registration and account information described above to operate your account and provide the service. WedWise staff do not access the content or conversations you enter into the platform, including the AI Assistant. The purposes and legal bases below apply to the limited personal data we do process:

5. UAE Data Protection (PDPL)
WedWise operates in accordance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). As a data controller, WedWise FZ-LLC, registered in the United Arab Emirates, is responsible for your personal data.
Where we rely on consent as a lawful basis for processing, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. To withdraw consent, please contact us at help@mywedwise.com.
6. Your Data Protection Rights
All Users
Regardless of your location, you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain types of processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at help@mywedwise.com.
European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- The right to restrict or object to processing

7. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and delivering services. Our current key processors include:
- Google LLC
- Authentication (Google Sign-In) and analytics services
- AWS / [Hosting Provider]
- Cloud infrastructure and data storage
- [Email / Support Tool]
- Customer communications and support tooling
- Plexe AI
- Builds and operates the WedWise AI Assistant on our behalf (SOC 2 Type 2 audited), as data processor under a Data Processing Agreement
- Amazon Web Services, OpenAI, and Anthropic
- Sub-processors engaged by Plexe AI to host the assistant and generate its responses
All third-party processors are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify. A current list of our sub-processors is available upon request by contacting help@mywedwise.com. We will notify users of material changes to our sub-processor list.
We may also disclose your information where required by law, court order, or government authority, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of WedWise, our users, or the public.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our platform. The types of cookies we use include:
- Essential cookies
- Necessary for the website to function correctly. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional cookies
- Remember your preferences and settings to enhance your experience.
- Analytics cookies
- Help us understand how users interact with WedWise, collected via tools such as Google Analytics. These collect anonymised or pseudonymised data.
- Authentication cookies
- Used to maintain your logged-in session, including when using Google Sign-In.
Third-party cookies may be set by services such as Google. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our platform. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies.
9. Marketing Communications
We may send you marketing emails or notifications about WedWise features, offers, and updates only where you have given us explicit consent to do so. You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by:
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or

Withdrawal of consent does not affect service-related communications necessary to operate your account.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy. The following general retention periods apply:
- Account data (name, email, preferences)
- Retained for the duration of your account and for up to 3 years following account deletion, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Authentication data (including Google Sign-In data)
- Not retained beyond account closure. Google-sourced data is deleted upon account termination.
- Usage and analytics data
- Retained for up to 24 months.
- AI Assistant conversations
- AI model providers do not retain inputs after generating a response; Plexe AI deletes account data within three months of account closure under its Data Processing Agreement.
- Communications and support records
- Retained for up to 3 years.
- Legal and compliance records
- Retained for up to 7 years where required by applicable law.
After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
11. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure servers, access controls, and regular security reviews. Information obtained via Google Sign-In is stored securely and is not retained beyond the period necessary to provide authentication and account management services.
However, no system is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
12. International Data Transfers
WedWise is based in the United Arab Emirates. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UAE, including countries in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Where we transfer data from the EEA or UK to countries not deemed adequate by the European Commission or UK authorities, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) as appropriate safeguards.
Where we transfer data outside the UAE, we ensure that appropriate protections are in place in accordance with the UAE PDPL and any decisions issued by the UAE Data Office regarding approved transfer mechanisms.
By using WedWise, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in countries with different data protection standards than your own.
13. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at help@mywedwise.com. Where available, you may also delete your account directly within your account settings. Following a deletion request, we will remove or anonymise your data in accordance with the retention periods set out in Section 10 above.
14. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We apply a minimum age threshold of 16 years across our platform as a global standard, aligning with the strictest applicable digital age of consent. In jurisdictions where a lower threshold applies, we comply with the locally applicable minimum age.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at help@mywedwise.com and we will promptly delete it.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and last-updated date at the top of this document. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our platform prior to the changes taking effect.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
